Made In Adobe Illustrator with a few touchups in Adobe Photoshop CS2 (only the background for those that were wondering). I used a different method for the hair than I usually do. Maybe I'll keep that method and keep trying to improve on it.

Crazy levels of detail :D, you must have a decent computer then to do this in Illustrator. I couldn't even get a 1/4 of the way before my computer give up, and that's in PhotoShop working at screen size :P
Overall colours are very nice too.
I realise you are accurately recreating a photo, but I think it would be best if you removed what ever is in the bottom left and right corners and just filled it all with hair. I'd remove her name too and the copyright. Just stick your signature there. ;)
